BaseCamp

(Sunday Mornings 9:00-10:15am in Room 300-304)

Mt. Everest is the highest place in our world!  If you wanted to go there you would meet your Team at BaseCamp.  At BaseCamp your Team would begin Equipping yourselves for the trek to the Summit through workouts, practice sessions, study of routes, working through dealing with challenges, and working together as a Team – all aimed at preparing you for the adventure of your life – climbing to the highest place in the world.

BaseCamp is a time we meet as a group to Equip ourselves for our Summit – God’s will for our lives.  We offer challenging classes that run in eight week increments.  These classes help prepare us for the challenges of being a disciple of Jesus Christ and living in His will – our Summit!

Join us every Sunday morning!

Classes for January 15th - March 4th are:

1. The Case for Christ

This is a book study through Lee Strobel’s book, “ The Case for Christ” in which a Secular Journalist sets out to disprove the bible and ends up finding out through his pursuit of truth that Gods Word is Historically, Archeologically, and logically reliable.
Don Is the Director of Student Ministries, and Ryan Pott is part of the youth staff here at First Free.

2. Jesus + High School=AMAZING!

This is a Study that will interactively dissect the details of the Gospel of Jesus and how it plays out today in the life of a high school student.

3. Are you Dateable?

Tim Corbett and Carin Schindler will be working through curriculum looking at what the bible has to say about relationships and the importance before seeking out someone to date, that you make sure that Jesus is Lord of your life, and that you are content in Him before looking for contentment in dating.
Tim Corbett is a dedicated small group leader in the High school ministry, and Carin Schindler is a Covenant Seminary Graduate and both are qualified and excited to engage our students on a highly sought after topic!

4. How to be Cooler than your Friends!

Why should you read the bible? How do you read the bible? What’s the difference between studying and reading? How do you properly study the bible? How do you lead a bible study?   Dave and Heidi Frick will be using material from Anne Graham Lotz, will teach our students how to study the bible, and how to lead a bible study.
Dave and Heidi Frick have been student ministry volunteers for 20+ years!
